George Abar


George is a founding principal at Engage. Prior to Engage, George managed complex policy, management and communications initiatives for a U.S. senator, advocacy organizations, associations, companies and a television network. He has worked with Senator John Kerry, Avaya, PBS, Citrix, Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, Nutanix, Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association Foundation, Rockefeller Family Fund, C.S. Mott Foundation and others.

George has worked at high levels of government, dealing with policy in the Congress, with the White House and federal offices, with international, state and local governments, advocacy organizations and businesses. He has managed educational and advocacy initiatives, the creation and operation of associations and technology user groups, along with media strategy and coverage. George has written for senators, congressmen, authors and CEOs. He is a graduate of Kenyon College. When not working, George spends his time with his family, surfs, hikes, fishes and coaches youth lacrosse.
